Last week we showed you a very cool house with a killer swimming pool. This week, in the spirit of our weekly off-the-wall design feature, we’re bringing you the freshest from the field of naval architecture. This yacht is like nothing else.
Designed by E. Kevin Schopfer of Schopfer Yachts with Sparkman Stevens, naval architects, this 300 foot long mother-of-all-yachts looks a lot more like some kind of alien vessel than your run of the mill sailboat. Built to accommodate 12 guests and crew, it has a helipad, hot tub, owner’s deck, swimming pool, glass walkway and a dining room with 12 foot ceilings (no bumping your head here).
The yacht is called Infinitas and has yet to be built. The price tag can only be guessed at, but one knows for sure that this is not a recession-friendly motorboat. As for the design, is it cutting-edge or just over the top eccentricity? Let us know what you think.
